INCIDENT LOCATION: Transit Ohio-Florida
A USPS express package being shipped from Ohio to Florida was compromised while in transit from Ohio to Florida. The recipient refused the package after seeing what appeared to be a hole on one side and re-taped. The package was returned to the victim and when opening at his post office found that the contents was missing.
The package contained the following stolen coins:
- 42 – California gold tokens
- 3 – double -die California gold tokens and
- 1 – one Mercury broad struck dime.
